(01) Why we built Hydris
Water operations have a knowledge problem.
Across twenty years of working with water systems, one challenge kept appearing. Some facilities had sophisticated monitoring. Others relied on spreadsheets, manual records and operator experience. Yet all faced the same question: how do you turn information into the right decisions?
Experienced teams recognize patterns, anticipate problems and understand what the numbers mean. Too often, that judgment is never captured or shared.
Hydris was created to connect operating information, water science and expert knowledge, making intelligence available when and where it is needed.

Vetri Dhagumudi, Founder and Chief Executive

Vetri grew up understanding that access to water could never be taken for granted.
Over two decades, he worked across water engineering, operations and global water strategy, seeing firsthand the challenges of managing complex water systems.
From treatment facilities to global manufacturing operations, he saw a recurring gap between the information organizations collected and the knowledge required to act on it. In June 2026, he founded Hydris to help close that gap.
